Coastguards may have stopped listening for Mayday calls on Channel 16,
so small craft owners should consider upgrading to this new equipment.

| The
ICS TOUCHCOMM TC4 system is well suited for fitting aboard smaller
commercial craft and yachts.
A compact electronics cabinet houses the DSC system, the Touch screen DSC control panel and VHF, MF/HF transceivers can be 'spread fit' into the smallest of locations. TC4 is available including the necessary radio transceivers or can be supplied as a retrofit add on for selected existing VHF and MF/HF radio transceivers. A major benefit for the operator is ICS's well proven Touch Screen technology which allows control of both the VHF and MF/HF radios via one common, easy to use control panel. TC4 169.09 is a 24Vdc system and fully complies with IMO GMDSS requirements, it is "Wheelmarked" to show compliance with the European Maritime Equipment Directive. TC4 169.05 has similar features to the TC4 169.09 but is suitable for 12volt supply - Non SOLAS fit vessels. TC4 169.xx is suitable for custom or retro fit applications.
