12 VOLT Systems Only

TeleflexMorse has launched a new autopilot designed specifically to
suit the pockets of small to medium sized leisure craft owners. Simple to use
and quick to install,
contains most of the features of larger, more expensive autopilots. There is a
choice of steering drive systems suitable for both hydraulic and mechanical
steering designed for use on vessels with either inboard, stern or outboard
engines.
comes as a complete package comprising pilot control unit, pilot computer,
electronic compass and steering drive unit. The pilot computer links the control
units to the drive system, and operates from 12V DC. Installers follow a simple
set-up routine and it is ready to go! There are two types of pilot controllers:
a dash mounted unit and a hand held unit. The brain of the system, the pilot
computer, incorporates some 30 years of autopilot technology from TeleflexMorse,
making it one of the most reliable and flexible systems available on the market
today.
can be incorporated with other NMEA 0183 compatible products - this is the only
system in its price range that has both NMEA 0183 input and output facilities.
For mechanically steered systems, there is the choice of replacing the existing
helm with one that contains a steering drive, controlled by the pilot computer,
or installing a remote system that attaches to the existing steering cylinder.
All mechanical drives feature built-in rudder feedback, thus reducing the number
of components to install.
The dash mounted control unit, at just 50mm diameter, comprises three
multifunction buttons. Just point the boat in the desired direction and press
the centre button to set course. In autopilot mode, pressing a side button will
cause the vessel to 'dodge' to either port or starboard. Simply release the
button to set the boat back onto course.
The hand held control unit offers more functionality with its easy to read
display. It shows at a glance heading and rudder angle information on the
autopilot mode. The hand held control unit is supplied with a handy storage
holster, and can be unplugged and stored safely after each use.
The new
autopilot from TeleflexMorse comes with a full two-year warranty.
TeleflexMorse
is proud to announce the launch of
The design
concept for was
the desire to have a one box solution that was easy to stock, easy to sell, easy
to install and easy to use. The result is a packaged pilot system that boasts
high-end features and benefits with a low end, competitive price.
Another
innovation is the introduction of a range of mechanical drives. There are
various types available; -
‘Behind the Helm Drive’
The ‘behind-the-helm drive’
comes in two options - standard or tilt helm and is compatible with almost all
mechanical steering cables.
‘Remote Drives’
The ‘remote drives’ are
used in conjunction with the boats existing mechanical steering system –
effectively adding a second station. Fitting kits are available for all Volvo,
Yanmar and Mercruiser sterndrives and a universal outboard fitting kit is also
available. All the remote drives are fitted with integral feedback units,
reducing the number of components that need to be installed.
‘Hydraulic Drives’
Hydraulic drives are available
both with a universal rotary feedback unit for inboards and sterndrives, as well
as a linear feedback unit for Teleflex SeaStar™ outboard cylinders.
is
the only system in its price range that has an NMEA 0183 input and output
facility. This allows the user to connect his pilot system to a remote multi
display unit such as the C-net
2000 Multi.
