The Smart Compass is driven and processed by a custom
micro-processor, giving a NMEA 0183 output. The initial installation
heading correction can be set from the C-net
2000 Multi Display, aligning the compass to the ship's head.
Also using the Multi calibration's menu, a 400-degree turn will then
correct for all hard and soft iron errors, giving an acccuracy of 2% or
better
